Job Description:
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support young learners across Key stages, helping to create a stimulating and nurturing environment that promotes children’s development and learning. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work across various schools in Cornwall, providing a diverse and enriching experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging activities that promote children's learning and development.
- Support individual or small groups of children, adapting activities to meet their specific needs and abilities.
- Help create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive learning environment that supports the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children.
- Prepare and set up learning resources and classroom displays that enhance the learning experience.
- Observe, monitor, and record children’s progress and development, providing feedback to the teacher and parents.
- Implement the EYFS framework and assist in the delivery of the Early Learning Goals.
- Support children with additional needs, including helping to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging independence and confidence.
Requirements:
- Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or an equivalent Early Years qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma for the Early Years Workforce).
- Experience working with young children in an Early Years setting.
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and child development principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
- Creativity, patience, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable:
- Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) in an Education setting.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies.
- Additional training or certifications related to education.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
