Level 3 Teaching Assistant
Job description
Are you passionate about supporting the development and well-being of young learners? Do you have the skills and experience to help children reach their full potential? We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team at a vibrant school in Halifax.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to pupils, both in small groups and one-to-one settings, to aid their learning and personal development.
- Assist teachers in creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment.
- Work closely with the SENCO to implement individual learning plans (IEPs) and support students with special educational needs (SEN).
- Encourage positive behaviour and support social and emotional well-being.
- Prepare learning materials and help with administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth running of the classroom.
- Supervise students during break times and on school trips.
- Support in the assessment and tracking of student progress.
Requirements:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
- Previous experience working within a school environment, ideally supporting children with SEN.
- A strong understanding of the national curriculum and child development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
- A patient, adaptable, and positive approach to working with children.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
