Job Title: Level 3 Qualified Teaching Assistant

Job Overview: Teaching Personnel are seeking a passionate and dedicated Level 3 Qualified Teaching Assistant. The ideal candidate will have a genuine enthusiasm for working with children, a nurturing approach, and the ability to support classroom activities effectively. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and contribute to their academic and personal development within a dynamic education team within a primary school in Derby.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons that support the diverse needs of children.
• Provide 1-1 or small group support to children who require additional support.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all children feel valued and supported.
• Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
• Help children to develop essential skills, such as literacy, numeracy and social skills, through structured activities and interventions.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers to support ongoing assessment and planning.

Qualifications:

• Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualifications or equivalent.
• Enhanced Child Only DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
• Previous experience working with children in an educational setting.
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers and parents.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of students and the school environment.
• Commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
