Job Opportunity: Level 3 Teaching Assistant
Location: Blackburn (SEMH School)
Start Date: 4th November 2024
Pay: £12.90 per hour

Are you a passionate Level 3 Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role in a supportive and dedicated environment? We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity to join our Special SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) School in Blackburn.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs, helping them thrive both academically and emotionally.
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging and structured lessons.
  • Work 1:1 or with small groups of students to implement personalized learning plans.
  • Support the social and emotional development of students, building positive relationships.
  • Contribute to creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience working with children with SEMH needs or in a special educational setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage challenging behavior.
  • A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting young learners.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
