Level 3 Teaching Assistant (SEMH)
Location: Blackburn
£12.90 p/h | Full-Time | Temp to Perm
Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with complex Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? We are looking for a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at a specialist SEMH school in Blackburn, supporting pupils aged 8-16.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support and general classroom assistance to pupils with complex SEMH needs.
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
- Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs) and behavior strategies.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to support student progress and well-being.
What We're Looking For:
- Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
- Experience working with children with SEMH or additional needs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting students with challenging behaviors.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
