Level 2 Teaching Assistant – Nursery (Standish, Wigan, WN6)

The Role:

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a Nursery setting in Standish (WN6). This is a full-time role starting from Easter 2025 and will run until July 2025, with the potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide general classroom support, including 1:1 assistance for children with SEND
• Work alongside the Early Years Class Teacher to create a safe and nurturing learning environment
• Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development
• Help to prepare and maintain indoor and outdoor learning spaces

What We’re Looking For:

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Level 2 qualification in childcare
• GCSEs (A-C / 9-4) in Maths and English
• Previous experience working in Nursery or Early Years settings (SEN experience desirable but not essential)
