Job Description:
As a Lesson Supervisor, you will take charge of lessons in the absence of the regular class teacher, ensuring students remain engaged and productive. You will be responsible for managing the classroom, delivering pre-set work, and supporting students where necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise students in the classroom, maintaining a calm and focused learning environment
  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons and facilitate activities in the teacher’s absence
  • Assist students with their learning and answer any questions about the tasks set
  • Ensure classroom behavior is managed effectively in line with school policies
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on lesson outcomes and any issues
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students in your care

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people or in a school environment (advantageous but not essential)
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm and adaptable under pressure
  • Enthusiastic, proactive attitude with a genuine interest in education
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • A valid DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
