Learning Support Assistant
Job description
Teaching Personnel are currently working with a primary school based in Stoke-on-Trent who are seeking a part-time Learning Support Assistant until the end of the academic year, with the opportunity for a permanent contract in September. This is a great opportunity for an individual who is looking for part-time/flexible work and further experience within a mainstream school.
The role:
- Start-date: 2nd June
- Opportunity to earn £85-£100 per day (dependent on experience)
- Great location with excellent transport links across Stoke
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with the class teachers and other support staff to create and implement individualised learning plans for students who require additional learning and behavioural support. This may involve additional interventions for core subjects, 1-1 interactive sessions and designated reading time. You will also ensure classes run smoothly when these students are involved in mainstream lessons; ensuring you adapt the learning and offered tailored support to ensure the curriculum is accessible.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience within a school setting or with young individuals is essential for this role
- Good knowledge of current behaviour management techniques
- A genuine passion and enthusiasm for the development of young students
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with students and other members of staff

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
