Learning Support Assistant
Job description
One of our partnership SEN colleges in South Manchester are looking for Learning Support Assistants to join their team for the new year.
This school supports children and young people with complex learning needs including:
- Autism
- Profound and multiple learning difficulties
- cerebral palsy
- Sensory needs including Hearing and Visual impairments
The college has fantastic facilities with supportive and dedicated staff who want to make a difference to the lives of young people with SEN.
In this role you will:
- Help to prepare and produce resources for exciting and engaging activities
- Support in the assessment of learning and development
- Support children in vocational activities and outings to develop crucial life skills such as cooking, shopping and employment skills
- And much more!
The ideal Learning Support Assistant will have:
- Experience working with children with complex additional needs in a school/care setting or through personal experience
- A caring and confident personality
- The ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing situations
- Full-time availability to support the needs of the children.
- An Enhanced Child and Adult DBS on the update service- this can be applied for through Teaching Personnel

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
