Position: Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Location: South Manchester (Stockport, Cheadle, Didsbury)
Hours: Full-time/Part-time hours available
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Work closely with students with complex needs, providing one-on-one and group support tailored to their individual requirements.
- Assist the class teacher in creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment.
- Foster positive relationships with students to build their confidence and independence.
- Support students with their personal, social, and emotional development.
- Implement and adapt educational strategies to meet each student’s unique learning goals.
- Provide care and assistance with mobility, feeding, or personal hygiene when required.
What We’re Looking For
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Experience working with children or young people with complex needs (e.g., ASD, PMLD, sensory impairments, or other additional needs).
- A calm, empathetic, and patient approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEN-related training) are desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
