Job description

Teaching Assistant

  • TR18
  • ASAP and September start
  • 8:30am-3:30pm

Teaching Personnel have the opportunity to recruit an outstanding teaching assistant to work in a SEN school in Penzance This school supports children aged 2-19 years old who have profound multiple learning disabilities, complex needs and physical disabilities. The main responsibilities of the role will include classroom support alongside the Teacher, 1:1 support inside and outside the classroom and interventions.

This role will start temporary with the ability to go onto contract with the school after a successful handover period.

Our ideal candidate would have

  • A passion for working with children with SEN
  • An enthusiasm to support children 1:1 or in a small group
  • Be able to provide a safe and positive learning environment
  • The ability to work on their own initiative
