One of our partnership SEN schools in Oldham, are looking for Learning Support Assistants to join their team in January.
In this role as a Learning Support Assistant, you will support children with complex and severe needs, including Autism, cerebral palsy and PMLD.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience working with children with Special educational needs in a care or school setting.
- A calm and sensitive approach to working with children
- Experience of personal care/ moving and handling (desirable- not essential)
- The ability to build relationships with students and staff

As part of safer recruitment guidelines, all candidates will be subject to standard vetting checks. Including:
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service- this can be applied for through Teaching Personnel
- 2 recent employment references that covers the last 24 months
- All applicants who have been outside of the UK for 6 months or more in the last 5 years will need to present an Overseas Criminal Check (police check)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
