Job Title: Learning Support Assistant
Location: Middlesbrough, UK
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £85 - £100 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time, Temporary to Permanent positions available

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Middlesbrough to recruit a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA). This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the academic and personal development of students while building valuable experience in the education sector.

About the role:

In this role, you will:

  • Provide tailored support to students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Assist with delivering lessons by supporting individual pupils and small groups
  • Encourage student engagement and help maintain a positive learning atmosphere
  • Support behaviour management strategies within the classroom
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to track student progress and adapt support strategies

Who we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people (school-based or similar)
  • A calm, caring, and resilient approach
  • Strong knowledge or awareness of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language needs
  • A team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice

Essential requirements:

  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered with the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
  • Suitable references covering the last two years
