We are recruiting for a passionate Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Lincoln. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone committed to making a difference in education and working alongside experienced professionals in a dynamic and supportive environment.
About the Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, your role will be pivotal in helping students with learning difficulties or disabilities reach their full potential. Working closely with teachers and support staff, you’ll provide individualized assistance, ensuring all students can access the curriculum and thrive in their learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting students one-to-one or in small groups to aid their learning.
- Assisting students with disabilities to fully engage with the curriculum.
- Helping teachers plan and deliver lessons that cater to all learners.
- Monitoring student progress and sharing updates with teachers and parents.
- Offering pastoral care and emotional support to students as needed.
- Supporting administrative tasks, such as maintaining records and preparing learning materials.
You’ll benefit from ongoing training and development opportunities, working in a collaborative environment alongside dedicated professionals.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a dedicated candidate who meets the following criteria:
- A degree (2:1 or above) from a reputable university.
- Experience with SEN/SEMH/SEND students.
- Passionate about education and supporting students with additional needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A team player with strong organizational skills, reliability, and a flexible approach.
The ideal candidate will have a proactive attitude, a commitment to high-quality support, and a desire to go the extra mile to make a real difference in students’ lives.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
