Learning Support Assistant – Secondary School in Glossop
Full-Time, ASAP Start
Salary: Competitive, Dependent on Experience
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a secondary school in Glossop. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on students' learning experiences by providing tailored support to students with a range of educational needs.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, ensuring they achieve their learning goals.
- Assisting teachers in adapting the curriculum to meet the needs of individual students.
- Providing emotional and behavioural support, helping students to develop confidence and independence.
- Working closely with the SEN team to monitor progress and develop strategies to support students’ needs.
- Ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.
About You:
- Experience working with children or young people in an educational setting is preferred, but not essential.
- A passion for supporting students with additional learning needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- A commitment to promoting inclusion and helping all students reach their full potential.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) would be an advantage but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
