Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Job Description:

Job Duties:

• Provide support to students with learning difficulties or disabilities in a classroom setting
• Assist teachers in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students
• Help students to develop their academic, social, and personal skills
• Provide one-on-one support to students as needed
• Assist with classroom management and behaviour management

Required Qualifications:

• GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Maths
• Experience working with children or young adults
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

• Relevant training or qualifications in learning support or special education

Experience:

• Experience working in a similar role within an educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of different learning difficulties and disabilities
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Patience and empathy when working with students

Preferred Qualifications:

• Level 3 Award in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
• First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

• Work hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday
• Work environment: Classroom setting within a school
• May require the ability to lift and carry equipment or assist students with mobility

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
