Learning Support Assistant (SEN School – Near Andover)

Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs and ready to take on a rewarding role? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a fantastic Special Educational Needs (SEN) school located just outside of Andover.

About the Role:
This is a temporary position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate. As an LSA, you will be instrumental in supporting pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Your role will involve working closely with teachers and support staff to create an inclusive and positive learning environment tailored to each child’s unique needs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing 1:1 or small group support to pupils with SEND.
  • Assisting with the implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Encouraging academic progress, social development, and emotional well-being.
  • Contributing to a safe, nurturing, and supportive school environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with additional needs is essential.
  • A positive, patient, and empathetic attitude with a proactive approach to learning support.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle, as the school is not easily accessible by public transport.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
