Job description

Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of children with additional needs?

Teaching Personnel London are looking for a Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant to join the workforce of a primary school in Bermondsey, South East London.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1-2-1 support to students with diverse needs (Autism, learning disabilities, physical disabilities and behavioural challenges)
  • Support in fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every student feels values and supported
  • Collaborate with the staffing team within school to ensure that every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, young people or adults with special educational needs
  • Compassionate and patient character
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Ability to work with challenging behaviour
  • Driving licence is preferred but not required if you have adequate travel arrangements 

Additional Information:

  • £85-100/day - Dependent on experience and performance
  • Permanent contracts available.
  • Full-time and part-time roles

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
