Full-Time, Permanent Opportunity

Our client, a specialist school based in Norwich, is seeking a dedicated and caring Learning Support Assistant to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to provide essential support to students with a range of special educational needs, including social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs and autism spectrum conditions.

About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other staff members to support students both in the classroom and in various school activities. You will assist with tailored learning, behaviour management, and provide personal care where necessary. Your role will be instrumental in helping students build confidence, develop skills, and overcome challenges, ensuring they feel supported and valued.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience working with children or young people with additional needs (in education, care, or youth work settings)

  • A patient, empathetic, and positive approach

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • The ability to work flexibly and adapt to the needs of individual students

  • A genuine passion for supporting young people and helping them succeed
