Cover Supervisor - Secondary School

Location: Oldham

Are you passionate about working with young people and considering a career in education? We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable individuals to join our team as Cover Supervisors in a secondary school in Oldham. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable classroom experience and make a positive impact on students' learning.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise classes during the short-term absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students remain on task with the work set.
Manage classroom behaviour effectively to maintain a positive learning environment.
Support students with their learning, providing guidance and assistance where needed.
Follow the school's policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all students.
Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure continuity of learning during teacher absences.
Cover a range of subjects across the curriculum, adapting to different year groups and learning needs.

The Ideal Candidate:

A strong interest in education and working with young people.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students.
Good organisational skills and the ability to manage a classroom environment effectively.
A positive and proactive attitude, with the flexibility to cover various subjects and year groups.
Previous experience in a school setting or working with children is desirable but not essential.
A degree or relevant qualifications are advantageous but not required.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
