LAC Tutor – Gateshead

Are you passionate about helping vulnerable students achieve academic success? Would you like to support vulnerable children outside of mainstream settings? Have you got experience working with children one to one?

Here at TP Tutors, we have immediate start referrals for tutors able to provide face to face tuition for vulnerable pupils in Newcastle and the surrounding areas. We are looking for a tutor who can support for a minimum of 10 hours per week (flexible) with a view to increase hours if needed.

As a 1:1 tutor you will need to plan, develop and provide individualised programmes for students.

This LAC tutor role involves:

-    Working with secondary children who may have additional needs or looked after (LAC).

-    Providing educational sessions face to face with children at their homes or a public space e.g. library, community centre, etc.

-    Planning resources around the child’s needs, developing their knowledge in core subjects such as Maths, English and Science.

You will need to:

-  Have QTS          

-  Be highly engaging and able to build effective working relationships with children

-  Manage and implement a range of behaviour strategies

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
