Position Overview:
Are you an inspiring and experienced Biology teacher with a passion for post-16 education? Teaching Personnel is delighted to partner with a highly regarded secondary school in North Liverpool that boasts a Good Ofsted rating, to recruit a dedicated KS5 Biology Leader Teacher.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious educator to lead the development of the A-Level Biology curriculum, motivate students, and foster academic excellence in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver engaging and challenging KS5 Biology lessons, tailored to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Oversee the Biology department’s KS5 provision, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Monitor student progress and implement strategies to support attainment and success.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop resources, share best practices, and enhance the curriculum.
  • Inspire students to achieve their full potential and foster a passion for Biology.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A strong background in teaching Biology at A-Level, with proven success in delivering results.
  • Experience in leading or managing curriculum development is desirable.
  • A commitment to creating an inclusive and high-achieving learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Enhanced DBS and on the update service (or willing to apply for one through Teaching Personnel)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
