Job description

Job Title: English and Maths KS3 SEN Tutor

Location:

Job Duties:

  • Provide tailored English and Maths tuition to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Create individualised learning plans to support the academic progress of each student
  • Implement effective teaching strategies to engage and motivate students
  • Assess students' learning needs and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to student support
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and feedback

Required Qualifications:

  • Recognised teaching qualification
  • Experience working with students with SEN
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs

Experience:

Prior experience in tutoring or teaching students with SEN

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the UK Key Stage 3 curriculum
  • Ability to create engaging and effective learning materials
  • Good classroom management skills
  • Knowledge of different learning styles and strategies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Specialist SEN qualification
  • Experience working in a similar role

Working Conditions:

This role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis, providing tuition to Key Stage 3 students with SEN. The tutor will be required to work collaboratively with students, parents, and other professionals to support the academic development of each student.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
