Job Title: English and Maths KS3 SEN Outreach Tutor

Job Duties:

The English and Maths KS3 SEN Outreach Tutor will be responsible for providing specialised support and guidance to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Duties include designing and delivering tailored English and Maths lessons, assessing students' learning needs, monitoring progress, and collaborating with school staff and parents to ensure the academic success of each student.

Required Qualifications:

- A relevant teaching qualification

- Experience working with students with SEN

- Strong knowledge of the KS3 English and Maths curriculum

Education:

A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field

Experience:

Proven experience in teaching English and Maths to students with SEN at the Key Stage 3 level

Knowledge and Skills:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs

- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

- Additional training in SEN education

- Experience working in outreach or community education programmes

Working Conditions:

This role is part-time and temporary, with flexible hours. The tutor will be required to travel to different locations within the East of England, Essex, Colchester area to conduct outreach sessions. The work environment may include schools, community centres, and students' homes.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
