KS3 Outreach Tutor
Job description
At Teaching Personnel we have unique 1:1 tutoring opportunities unlike any others! Our tutoring roles are incredibly rewarding and satisfactory, as well as accommodating to you and your day to day life!
We work closely with Local Authorities to provide tailored 1:1 tuition for young people who currently cannot access mainstream school. There could be a variety of reasons why they are unable to access school, for example these would be: SEN and SEMH needs, challenging behaviour, exclusions, school refusers or if they are a Looked After Child (LAC).
Our roles, are typically based in the young person’s home, care home or in a public venue like a library. They have a focus of core academic subjects (English, Maths and Science), with the focus being to bridge gaps in their learning and understanding, boost their confidence and help re-engage them with their learning!
I am currently recruiting for educators (Fully Qualified Teachers, Higher Level Teaching Assistants, SEN Specialists, SEMH specialists and Teaching Assistants) to work 1:1 with Secondary Students (KS3) in Maldon!
As a tutor, you will need to …
- Be confident in creating resources in lines with the UK National Curriculum, at a KS3 level.
- Deliver stimulating resources to young people, which are tailored to their needs and interests.
- Be able to build a rapport with students.
- Write session reports about what was covered in sessions so that we can track the progress and content being covered.
- Have some SEN/ SEMH experience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
