KS2 Teaching Assistant
EYFS Location: Tyne Tees Primary are currently recruiting for several teaching assistants to join our team, primarily those with an understanding of KS2 . However, roles across KS1 and EYFS are also available.
The role will involve supporting children from ages 7– 11, with attention paid to supporting 1:1 and in a small group intervention in the afternoons.
For the role, experience in a local primary school is required and a Level 2 or 3 qualification is preferred, however we are also open to recruiting unqualified staff. The role is to start immediately, and is a temporary position with the intention to extend. We also have roles where permanent posts would be offered if the right person was to apply for the roles.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work closely with teachers and other staff members within school to create a safe, stimulating working environment for all pupils
• Support children with SEND in a 1:1 or small group capacity
• Help class teachers implement classroom and behaviour management strategies
• Where appropriate, assist with marking and assessment
Candidate Requirements:
Requirements and Qualifications:
• Level 2 or 3 Childcare Qualification (preferred)
• Grade C GCSE in Maths and English (or equivalent)
• Childcare Experience
• Understanding of National Curriculum
• Proficient in English Language
• Commitment to work

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
