KS2 Teacher

Job Title: Year 2 Class Teacher (Full-Time)
Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire
Pay: Paid to Scale (MPS/UPS depending on experience)

We are seeking a passionate and committed Year 2 Class Teacher to join a friendly and welcoming primary school in Kettering. This is a full-time position with an immediate start, ideal for a dedicated teacher who thrives in a supportive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality teaching to a lovely Year 2 class, ensuring that all pupils are motivated and challenged to achieve their full potential.
• Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in line with the national curriculum and the school’s educational goals.
• Mark and assess pupils’ work regularly, providing constructive feedback and tracking their progress.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, supporting children's academic, social, and emotional development.
• Collaborate with other staff members, parents, and external agencies to support individual learning needs.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, and school activities as part of the school community.

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching in Key Stage 1 is desirable, particularly in Year 2.
• Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and statutory assessments.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Commitment to planning, marking, and assessing to high standards.
• A positive, can-do attitude and a passion for making learning enjoyable and meaningful for all children.
• A valid DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
