KS2 Intervention Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant who has experience delivering a range of interventions. Our schools have an inclusive approach so are looking for a Teaching Assistant who is capable to identify gaps in children’s learning and plan interventions accordingly.

Location:Hyndburn, Lancashire.

Pay: £12.90 - £15

Hours: Full-time Monday – Friday.

Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with children to ensure they engage with the curriculum and their learning.
  • Have a calm and nurturing approach to ensure children have a positive learning experience. 
  • Have the confidence to work with the Class Teacher to  plan and deliver engaging lessons, so that children can achieve their full potential.
  • Work alongside the KS2 Curriculum, so that you have an understanding of the age expectations.
  • Differentiate learning to meet the needs of diverse learners and those with additional needs.
  • Be willing to upskill yourself through continuous professional development.
  • Be committed to the safeguarding of all pupils, ensuring you adopt school’s policies and participate in regular safeguarding training.
  • ·       Ensure children are assessed and progress is recorded so that feedback can be provided to children, parents, Class Teacher and SLT.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Have a good understanding of the KS2 National Curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Have effective behaviour management strategies.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate.
  • Experience supporting children with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
  • Have experience delivering interventions/small group sessions.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
