KS1 Intervention Teaching Assistant
We are seeking a passionate teaching assistant who has experience delivering a range of interventions. Our schools have an inclusive approach so are looking for a teaching assistant who is capable working alongside the Class Teacher, to identify gaps in children’s learning and plan interventions accordingly.
Location: Hyndburn, Lancashire.
Pay: £12.90 - £13.50
Hours: Full-time Monday – Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with children to ensure they engage with the curriculum and their learning.
- Have a calm and nurturing approach to ensure children have a positive learning experience.
- Have the confidence to plan and deliver engaging lessons, in collaboration with the Class Teacher and other relevant professionals, so that children can achieve their full potential.
- Work alongside the KS1 Curriculum, so that you have an understanding of the age expectations.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of diverse learners and those with additional needs.
- Be willing to upskill yourself through continuous professional development.
- Be committed to the safeguarding of all pupils, ensuring you adopt school’s policies and participate in regular safeguarding training.
- · Ensure the progress of children is recorded so that feedback can be provided to children, parents and the Class Teacher.
Requirements:
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
- Have an understanding of the KS1 National Curriculum.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have effective behaviour management strategies.
- Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service.
- Experience supporting children with Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
