We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Full-Time KS1 Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team and contribute to the continued success of our students.

The Role:
As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and working with children in Key Stage 1 (ages 5–7). Your responsibilities will include providing tailored support for students, assisting with lesson delivery, and helping to ensure all pupils achieve their full potential. You will work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to meet the varied needs of our pupils in an inclusive, nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

-          Support the teacher in delivering high-quality lessons and activities.

-          Work with small groups or one-to-one with children, providing additional support as needed.

-          Help manage classroom behaviour and encourage positive learning experiences.

-          Assist with the preparation and organization of teaching resources and materials.

-          Monitor and record student progress, reporting observations to the class teacher.

-          Support children with special educational needs (SEN), as directed by the teacher.

-          Foster a safe, happy, and productive classroom environment.

-          Assist in preparing pupils for assessments and exams, as required.

-          Encourage and promote the well-being and social development of students.

You will need:
We are looking for a motivated and compassionate individual who is passionate about education and the development of young children. The ideal candidate will have:

-          A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).

-          Experience working with children in an educational setting (KS1 experience is desirable).

-          A strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and the ability to support diverse learning needs.

-          Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and engage children.

-          Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.

-          A commitment to providing the best possible learning experience for all students.

  • A current DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
