Key Stage 1 Teacher – Southampton
Location: Southampton, Hampshire
Position: Key Stage 1 Teacher
Contract Type: Full-Time
Start Date: Immediate/April 2025
We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Key Stage 1 Teacher to join our supportive and dynamic team in Southampton. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher or a newly qualified teacher (NQT) to contribute to the early years of children’s education and make a lasting impact on their learning journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, teach, and assess engaging lessons for children in Key Stage 1, focusing on the core subjects and the development of key skills.
- Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that helps children develop both academically and personally.
- Differentiate lessons and activities to meet the individual needs of all students, ensuring all children make good progress.
- Track and monitor pupil progress, providing effective feedback to support development.
- Work closely with parents and carers to keep them informed of their child’s progress and to offer support where needed.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency across the year group and contribute to the development of the curriculum.
- Support the social, emotional, and behavioural development of the children, encouraging confidence and independence.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Be passionate about teaching Key Stage 1 children and fostering a love of learning.
- Be creative, energetic, and able to engage children in their learning.
- Have strong classroom management skills and a patient, nurturing approach.
- Be a team player, working collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
- Be committed to ongoing professional development and improving practice.
- Hold a valid DBS check (or be willing to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
