Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant - Southwark

-          Do you have a Level 2 or above in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent?

Then this may be the position for you -

Teaching Personnel have been approached by a primary school located in the London brough of Southwark who are looking for a Teaching Assistant who can offer their support in Key Stage 1, within a Year 2 class. The position is for a September 2024 start. The Head Teacher is looking to secure a committed teaching assistant to join their hardworking team in supporting the class teacher with raising attainment; particularly in Maths and Reading and Writing. You would be supporting children within the classroom who are working below age related expectation.

-          Job Type: Full-time

-          Salary: £90 - £105 per day - (dependent on experience)

-          Start date: Tuesday 2nd September 2024

-          End date: July 2025

The Head Teacher is particularly interested in candidates who are keen to secure a permanent role. The expected working hours for this role are 8:30am-3:30pm every day. The school would like to meet suitable candidates as soon as possible.

Requirements:

  •  Have experience working with primary school pupils on a 1:1 basis
  •  Experience working with KS1 & EYFS pupils
  •  Hold either a degree or a teaching assistant qualification
  •  Experience working with pupils with challenging behaviour
  •  Background in care
  •  Hold a valid up to date clean DBS check on the update service
  •  UK address and right to work

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
