Are you a Level 2 Teaching Assistant seeking a new challenge?

Do you have experience of supporting pupils with SEMH?

A primary school in Blackburn is currently seeking a Level 2 qualified Teaching Assistant from September 2024 – July 2025.

A pupil in Year 6 requires a high level of support to assist them in finishing primary school, the pupil does have complex needs in terms of behaviour, communication and social, emotional and mental health requirements. Therefore, the successful candidate must be well experienced in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs.

The pupil you would be supporting is currently working at a Year 1 level, so experience within Key Stage 2 is essential as well as previous experience of supporting pupils with speech and language difficulties.

The school is a single form entry primary school and is easily accessible by car or public transport, the role is 30 hours per week and full availability between January – July is essential.

Essential requirements:

-          Level 2 qualified minimum

-          Experience supporting pupils with behavioral needs & SEMH

-          Experience across Key Stage 1

-          Previous experience of supporting pupils with Speech & Language needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
