Key Stage 1 Teacher

We are looking for a passionate and highly skilled KS1 Teacher to join our supportive Primary School in the Hull area. In this essential role, you will play a key role in shaping the educational journey of young learners aged 5-7, inspiring them to reach their full potential.

Location: Hull, East Yorkshire

Salary: £125 - £145 per day

Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday

About the Role:

We are seeking talented primary specialists to join our growing network of partner schools, providing flexible, short-term supply cover for 3-5 days per week. While most of the work will be pre-booked, there may be occasions where you will be asked to be on standby for same-day bookings between 7-9am. In this role, you will follow each school's policies, mark pupils' work, and leave handover notes for the Class Teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Qualified Teacher: You must hold QTS and have experience teaching in Primary Schools, particularly in KS1.
  • Commitment to Excellence: You should be hard-working, organised, and dedicated to raising educational standards.
  • Behaviour Management: Demonstrating strong behaviour management skills, you will foster a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Curriculum Expertise: Possessing a solid understanding of the KS1 curriculum, you will plan and deliver inspiring lessons that captivate students.
  • High Expectations: Setting ambitious goals, you will empower children to achieve their best.
  • Team Management: Effectively managing Teaching Assistants, you will enhance classroom learning.
  • Assessment Strategies: Using assessment techniques, you will monitor and track student progress and use this to inform your teaching.
  • Community Involvement: Immersing yourself in the school community, you will promote its ethos and build strong relationships with children, staff, and families.
  • Safeguarding Knowledge: You must maintain an excellent understanding of safeguarding practises.
  • DBS Compliance: Holding a DBS certificate on the update service is essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
