About the Role
As a Flexible English Tutor, you’ll support students with their English studies at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 levels. You’ll work across multiple schools, providing targeted intervention on a 1:1 or small-group basis.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging English tuition tailored to individual student needs.
- Identify gaps in knowledge and create lessons to close these.
- Build positive relationships with students to foster a love of learning.
- Adapt your approach to suit each school’s environment and expectations.
What We’re Looking For:
- A strong academic background in English (a degree or similar qualification preferred).
- Experience in teaching, tutoring, or working with young people (QTS is an advantage but not essential).
- A passion for education and helping students overcome challenges.
- Flexibility and willingness to work across various schools in the Southampton area.
- A valid DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
