Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with a successful secondary school in York to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Humanities Teacher to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate educator to make a real impact in a well-supported and forward-thinking school environment.
The Role:
We are seeking a skilled teacher to deliver Humanities subjects, with a focus on History, Geography, or Religious Education, across Key Stages 3 and 4. The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering engaging, inclusive lessons that inspire pupils and foster a love of learning.
Start date: ASAP or September 2025
Contract type: Full-time, long-term (potential to become permanent)
Location: York
What we’re looking for:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent

Specialism in Humanities (History, Geography, or RE)

Strong classroom management and planning skills

A commitment to the safeguarding and wellbeing of pupils

A creative and adaptable teaching approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
