Humanities Teacher

Pay Rate: To scale for all full time roles - day to day rates may vary
Hours: Full Time (flexible, day-to-day work is also available for the right candidate)
Location: B91 (Solihull, Birmingham)
Ideal Candidate:
- Hold a UK QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
- Successfully completed PGCE, SCITT or other relevant teacher training programme
- Proven track record teaching humanities within a UK secondary school
- Subject specialism in History, Geography or Religious Studies but have the ability to teach across all of them
- Confident classroom presence and strong behaviour management techniques
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging History, Geography or Religious Studies lessons to a range of year groups and learning abilities
- Differentiate lessons to suit individual needs within the class
- Demonstrate exceptional subject knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum guidelines
- Regularly mark students work and assess progress, providing informative feedback condusive with their learning
- Work in collaboration with colleagues within the department and wider school community to ensure best outcomes of all students
- Communicate effectively with parents and care givers to ensure holistic needs of the children are being met
- Uphold schools policies, procedures and guidelines are adhered to at all times and safeguarding principles are at the pinnacle of your practice

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
