Job description

Are you a passionate and dedicated Humanities teacher looking for a new opportunity? We are seeking an enthusiastic Humanities Teacher to join our vibrant team at a well-established secondary school in Rochdale, starting Easter 2025.

About the Role:

As a Humanities Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and high-quality lessons across the Humanities curriculum, including History, Geography, and Social Sciences. You will:

  • Plan and deliver innovative lessons that inspire and challenge students at KS3 and KS4 levels
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment, encouraging critical thinking and a passion for learning
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and tailored support to help students achieve their potential
  • Contribute to extracurricular activities that enhance the students' understanding and enjoyment of Humanities
  • Work collaboratively with a supportive team of educators to implement effective teaching strategies and share best practices

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Specialism in one or more Humanities subjects (History, Geography, Social Sciences)
  • A passion for inspiring students and making the Humanities relevant and engaging
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to adapt to the diverse needs of students
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and contributing to the wider school community

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
