Job description

Are you passionate about empowering the next generation with essential Humanities knowledge? A large school in Central Bristol with a thriving sixth form is seeking an enthusiastic Humanities teacher who will support the school’s mission to develop students holistically through their core principles of dreaming big, doing your best and giving back. Whether you’re an experienced educator or an ECT, the school welcomes your enthusiasm and commitment.

The role:

  • Delivering engaging KS3, 4 and 5 lessons that meet curriculum objectives
  • Managing student behaviour, ensuring the classroom environment is safe and supportive of learning
  • Reporting to parents and other staff members when necessary
  • Mark and assess the work of students

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds QTS Status
  • Has the ability to promote high quality teaching and learning
  • Can support in the promotion of excellent standards of student learning, achievement, progress, attainment and behaviour through working effectively and collaboratively
  • Has excellent subject knowledge coupled with an ability to deliver inspirational lessons.
  • Has experience working with KS3, 4 and 5

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
