Roles and responsibilities:

  • Teaching Humanities subject of your choosing to groups of students from all abilities across the school (KS3 and KS4)
  • Ensuring all lessons are delivered in line with the departmental schemes of work and school policies.
  • Dealing with inappropriate behaviour quickly and effectively according to the school behaviour policy.
  • Setting appropriate tasks and challenges for homework according to the previous teacher.
  • Keep careful records of student progress in line with departmental and school policy.
  • That there is a high standard of display work in the classroom, which is changed frequently.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience teaching History or Geography within a Primary, Secondary or Further Education
  • Ability and willingness to teach a second Humanities subject to KS3
  • Hold or be willing to apply for a DBS on the Update Service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
