An Ofsted-rated "Good" secondary school in Levenshulme is seeking a passionate Humanities Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This role starts in October and continues until the end of the academic year, with the potential for the position to become permanent based on your performance. This is an ideal opportunity for recent humanities graduates who are considering a career in education and want to gain valuable classroom experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Classroom Support: Assist humanities teachers in the delivery of engaging lessons across subjects such as History, Geography, and Religious Studies, helping to create an interactive and inclusive learning environment.
• Individual and Group Support: Provide targeted assistance to students who may need extra help, working one-on-one or in small groups to ensure they reach their academic potential.
• Resource Preparation: Aid in the preparation of teaching materials and resources, ensuring that lessons are well-structured and accessible to all students.
• Progress Monitoring: Help monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to the planning of future lessons and interventions.
• Behavioral Support: Assist in managing classroom behavior, implementing strategies to promote a positive and focused learning atmosphere.
• Extracurricular Involvement: Support the planning and execution of extracurricular activities related to the humanities, enriching the educational experience for students outside the classroom.

Requirements:

• Humanities Graduate: A degree in a relevant subject such as History, Geography, or Religious Studies.
• Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students in the humanities.
• Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with teachers, support staff, and parents.
• Adaptability: Flexibility to meet the diverse needs of students and adapt to the dynamic environment of the school.
• Passion for Education: A genuine interest in pursuing a career in education and a desire to make a positive impact on students’ learning and development.
