Do you have experience in home tuition?

Are you interested in supporting secondary-aged pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs outside of mainstream settings?

This tuition role is perfect for a Primary Trained Teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) who has experience in nurturing roles or working with varied behavioral needs and is seeking flexible work opportunities.

Key responsibilities of this tuition role include:

  • Working with children who may have additional needs or are in care
  • Building strong rapport and positive relationships with pupils
  • Conducting face-to-face educational sessions at students' homes or nearby locations, such as libraries
  • Planning resources that cater to individual child needs
  • Keeping children engaged with educational tasks

The role will be based in the RCT area, with travel costs covered.

What we are looking for in a tuition teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with children or young people
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging core and cross-curricular sessions
  • Skills to help pupils catch up academically
  • Experience in implementing various behavior management strategies
  • Ability to assess pupil progress and provide feedback to ensure they meet their learning goals

SEN experience is desirable.

Working hours will be during the school day.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
