Job description

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and passionate History Teacher on behalf of a rapidly improving secondary school in the Orrell area of Wigan.

This is a full-time, 12-month position to cover a planned maternity leave, with the possibility of joining the school on a permanent basis in the future.

Key Details:

  • Full-time History Teacher (KS3 & KS4).
  • 12-month maternity cover starting February 2025.
  • In line with MPS/UPS.
  • Full planning and marking duties are required as part of this role.

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) specializing in History.
  • Experienced and Newly Qualified Teachers (ECTs/NQTs) are encouraged to apply.
  • A dynamic and engaging teaching style, with a commitment to driving student success and fostering a love for History.
  • A strong desire to inspire students and push them to achieve their full potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
