History Teacher - Stockport

Position: History Teacher
Location: Stockport
Start Date: January 2025
Salary: £140-£200 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary (with potential for permanent placement)

Are you passionate about bringing the past to life? Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable History Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Stockport. This role offers the chance to inspire young minds and contribute to the school’s excellent academic standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering engaging History lessons to KS3 and KS4 students, covering a range of historical topics and themes.
  • Preparing students for GCSE exams, providing structured guidance and tailored support.
  • Encouraging critical thinking and discussion to develop students' analytical skills.
  • Collaborating with the Humanities Department to create a dynamic curriculum.
  • Promoting an inclusive and respectful learning environment.

  • QTS or equivalent qualification with a strong background in History.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • A creative approach to teaching that captivates students’ interests.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
