Are you passionate about history and dedicated to inspiring the next generation of learners? We are seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic History Teacher to join our team this September!

We're working closely with a seoncdary school in Rochdale, who are a forward-thinking and inclusive school committed to academic excellence and personal development. Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and informative history lessons to students at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Foster a love for history by creating stimulating lesson plans and utilising diverse teaching methods.
  • Assess, record, and report on the progress and attainment of students.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to enhance learning experiences.
  • Participate in departmental and whole school meetings, training, and events.
  • Support students' academic and personal development through tutoring and extracurricular activities.
  • Create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages active learning and student participation.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in History or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching history at the secondary school level is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of the history curriculum and exam specifications.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and lifelong learning.
  • A passion for history and the ability to inspire students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
