Full-Time History Teacher Required in Minehead – Join Teaching Personnel!

Are you a passionate History Teacher ready to bring the past to life? Teaching Personnel is looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable History Teacher to join a partner secondary school in Minehead. This full-time role offers the opportunity to inspire students, deepen their understanding of historical events, and encourage critical thinking skills.

Contract Type: Full-time

About the Role:

As a History Teacher, you’ll be responsible for delivering engaging and informative lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students. You’ll guide students in exploring significant historical periods and figures, helping them understand how past events have shaped the present. This is an ideal opportunity for a skilled educator who is committed to fostering a love of history and developing students' analytical abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality History lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Inspire students to think critically and understand historical contexts and perspectives.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive, engaging classroom environment.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge and a passion for teaching history.
  • Excellent communication skills and a commitment to student achievement.
  • Ability to motivate students and make historical content accessible and engaging.
  • Experience teaching at the secondary level is preferred but newly qualified teachers are welcome to apply.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
