Job Title: History Teacher

Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver engaging history lessons to students
  • Develop and implement curriculum content in line with national standards
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress through assignments, exams, and projects
  • Provide constructive feedback to students and parents on academic performance
  • Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and professional development activities

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in History or related field
  • Experience working with secondary school students

Education:

Minimum of a Degree in History or related field

Experience:

Prior experience working with secondary school students

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of history curriculum and teaching methods
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate students in the learning process
  • Organisational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience with exam board requirements

Working Conditions:

The role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis. The teacher will be expected to work in a secondary school setting, collaborating with other faculty members and engaging with students and parents.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
