We are seeking a passionate and dedicated History Teacher to join an excellent secondary school in the Fareham area. This is a full-time position, commencing from September.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective History lessons to students from Year 7 to Year 11, following the National Curriculum guidelines.
- Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials that facilitate active learning.
- Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives.
- Assess and record the progress of student's learning to inform next steps.
- Provide feedback to parents on pupils’ progress at parent's evenings and other meetings.
- Collaborate with educational staff and participate in departmental meetings, parent's evenings, and whole-school training events.
- Manage student behaviour in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
- Maintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of the school.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- A degree in History or a related subject.
- Experience teaching History at the secondary level is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent knowledge of the National Curriculum for History.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
