History Teacher – Derbyshire

Are you an inspiring History Teacher looking to make an immediate impact in the classroom? Teaching Personnel is partnering with a forward-thinking secondary school in the Derbyshire area that is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable History Teacher to join their team as soon as possible.

About the Role:

  • Start Date: As soon as possible
  • Contract: Full-time, ongoing
  • Pay Rate: £162–£251 per day (dependent on pay scale and experience)
  • Deliver engaging and well-structured History lessons across KS3 and KS4.
  • Inspire students with a love for History, fostering critical thinking and curiosity about the past.
  • Monitor, assess, and support student progress, implementing interventions where needed.
  • Contribute to the development of a dynamic and inclusive History curriculum.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to organise enrichment activities, such as trips and History clubs, that bring the subject to life.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching History at secondary school level, with a track record of driving student achievement.
  • Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with GCSE specifications.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • A proactive and flexible approach, with a commitment to professional growth and collaboration.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
