Location: Northampton
Position: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with Personal Care Experience
Salary: £85-£95 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract: Full-time, Term-time only
Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated and compassionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant’s (HLTA) to join our team, supporting secondary schools across Northampton. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people while advancing your career in education. We are currently working with various schools across the Northamptonshire area who are looking for support as soon as the summer trm but also for the new academic year from September.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality support to students in a classroom setting, assisting with learning and academic progress.
- Work closely with teachers to plan and deliver engaging lessons, including leading small group activities and interventions.
- Offer personal care support to students with additional needs, ensuring dignity, respect, and safety at all times, where needed.
- Support students’ social, emotional, and physical development, helping them to achieve their full potential.
- Maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and parents, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Requirements:
- Relevant HLTA qualification or equivalent.
- Proven experience working in a secondary school environment.
- Experience in providing personal care to students with additional needs (e.g., physical disabilities, SEN).
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- A passion for education and a commitment to student welfare and development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
